Advice process
As part of the advice process, it is important that I understand as much about you as possible. This includes the reason for you seeking my assistance, as well as understand where you are at right now. Even though you may be seeking advice on a limited part of your situation, financial planning is very much interconnected which is why any advice provided (if not considered appropriately and holistically) could lead to unintended and detrimental consequences.
Step 1: Understanding you

Step 1: Understanding you
- Purpose is for me to understand why you are seeking advice.
- Will let you know about ACG Financial Planning.
- Explain the process in receiving advice.
- Explain how I charge for services.
- Next steps.
Step 2: Analysis and strategy
- Will review your current circumstances and devise a plan to assist you in getting closer to your goal.
- Review your existing investments, superannuation and insurances (where applicable) to ensure they do not jeopardise your future plans.
- Understand your tolerance to risk by undertaking an analysis to determine your suitability to risk.
- Will construct a Statement of Advice which articulates the strategic advice, any product recommendations and the total fees involved for completing the work, as well as any ongoing fees.
Step 3: Plan presentation meeting
- Sit down together to go through the Statement of Advice in person.
Step 4: Implementation
- Should you agree to proceed with the advice, will implement it on your behalf and keep you up to date with its progress.
- Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation letter.
Step 5: Ongoing review
- Once the plan is implemented, it is important to review the strategy put in place as your circumstances can change.
- It is important you allow time throughout the year to meet and ensure you are financially on track.
